Ductless systems are typically used as an energy efficient way to cool or heat spaces when individually requested rather than the whole building space at once. Some examples typically include but not limited to Offices, DATA Rooms, Garages, or Attic free Homes.

A Split System is the traditional Home HVAC equipment consisting of a Furnace in either the Attic or Closet space and the A/C unit is out in the back or side yard. It is very critical filters are changed often and a professional maintenace is done once a year to ensure performance and prevent "ware n tare". 

Package units are most usual on your Commercial Buildings, although a select amount of Residential Condo/Homes may have them as well. This is a HVAC system that contains all A/C and Heating components in one "cube" like box typically on a rooftop. 

Southern Energy Efficiency Ratio, in simpler terms this is the equivalent to gas mileage on your vehicle. The higher the SEER on your A/C unit the more efficient it will be on the energy it will use to run. This does NOT mean it will cool your Home/Business faster, but simply you will pay less a month in utilities to use the unit, also may be more quiet than the CA standard 14 SEER.  

One ton equals 12,000 BTU. This is a measurement factor connected with the square footage, as well as the Heat Load Calculation that the MCS Consultant will use to determine the correct size tonnage for your Home/Business. Ducting is absolutely critical to the HVAC system in your Home/Business. When it comes to your Heat or Cool think airflow, airflow, airflow. If the ducting system is not the correct sizing for the space and unit combined many unnecessary issues will occur. Without the ducting being sized correctly, and the equally importance of all connections of the ducting be air tight sealed, countless amounts of energy will be wasted heating or cooling your Attic or Crawl space.
